Hi, I’m Julie, the “Julep” and illustrator behind Julep and Trubbs.

Coming from a background in computer animation, I’m enjoying the fun, lightness and freedom of creating my own illustrations.

I love capturing moments of my life: memorable people, treasured objects, travels, or the light and shadows that drape over a space around me. They’re all encorporated into my art in subtle ways. My hope is that you enjoy them in your life too.

I currently live on the Atlantic Coast in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada.

the purry-est cuddles

And this is Trubbs.

She was my constant companion in my studio office, especially during the pandemic. Often times, tasks took longer to do when she demanded purr-y cuddles and gentle head bumps.

In 2022, we had to let Trubbs be free of pain. It was the saddest day of our little family. She’s still my muse and can be found in some of my artwork. I’ll always have a Trubbs shaped hole in my heart. xo
